Babysitting Services: Day camp & Sleepovers

-         Day Camp- for ages 5-12, the youth center and its employees are responsible for the children at all times while registered in the program during day camp hours.

-         Hours of operation for the day camp will be 7:30am (no earlier)- 5:30pm (no later). The children are to arrive no later than 9:30 for planning purposes, unless prior arrangements have been made. During this time, the children will not be permitted to leave the building whenever they wish. If, for some reason, a child needs to leave and the parent has sent us written consent, the child will be permitted to leave. As well, if your child wishes to go home for lunch hour they will be permitted to leave only if picked up by a parent or if written consent from a parent has been sent.

-         Sleepover:  ages 7-16, the youth center and its employees are responsible at all times during sleepover hours.

There will be no refunds for parents who’s children are removed from the program due to behavior.  Once parents sign up their children and pay all fees for this service there will be no refunds given for children who do not attend as registered.

Day Camp Disciplinary Action

To ensure the safety and well being of the children, each child will receive a checkmark for anything that they say or do that is considered inappropriate (i.e. Swearing, hitting). By the end of each day if a child has earned 10 checkmarks they will receive one point towards losing the trip that is planned for the week. For every checkmark over 10, they will also receive a point toward losing their trip. If a child receives 5 points towards losing their trip, they will not be allowed to go on the trip, parents will be notified and the child will have to stay at home. If a child is not going on a trip one week, but is planning to attend the trip the following week, they will have a maximum of 7 points before they lose the trip that they are attending.

The amount of points/checkmarks given at one time will be under the staff’s discretion depending on the severity of behavior.  For example, swearing purposely and hurting other such as hitting, kicking etc will result in a minimum of three points or checkmarks.
